Live blues performances and barbecue make great company for families seeking a perfect day at the park—that is exactly what is in store at this year’s upcoming New Blues Festival. Once again sponsored by Lucille’s Smokehouse Bar-B-Que, the two-day festival takes place 9 a.m.–8 p.m. Saturday and Sunday Sept. 5 and 6 at the El Dorado Regional Park, near Long Beach Towne Center in Long Beach.
Featuring another talented lineup which includes James Harman, Lil’ A and the Allnighters, Barbara Morrison, Kelly Chappue, Bernie Pearl, The Soul Collectors, 2000 LBS of Blues, Blues Power, The Other Mules, Teddy Lee Hooker, L.A. Parks and Wrecks, Sean Lane, Tracy Niles, Frankie and the Crew, Union Hobos and Ray Gordon, the daytime event will continue to revive the 25-year Labor Day tradition in Long Beach.
Lucille’s will be proudly offering specially-priced barbecue sandwiches, including their popular pulled pork and tri tip, and kid’s meals. Tickets for the New Blues Festival are $25 for single-day, $40 for two-day, and special pricing for VIP tickets. Admission free for children 12 and younger. There will be a beer garden for the adults. Single-day tickets will be available at six Lucille’s locations including Long Beach Towne Center, Cerritos, Long Beach Marina, The District at Tustin Legacy, the Del Amo Mall in Torrance and Westfield Culver City, and online at www.newbluesfestival.com.
